Why RENE Spa Introduced Far-Infrared Therapy for Detoxification
🌿 Flush Out Heavy Metals and Waste Products!
Experience a Full-Body Detox with the “Far-Infrared Dome Sauna” at RENE Spa Bangkok
Following the COVID-19 pandemic that began in 2020, interest in “health” and “immunity” increased around the world.
“Is there a way to eliminate viruses and spike proteins from the body?” — This concern has led to a sharp increase in people looking for ways to detoxify their bodies.
At the same time, growing concerns about environmental pollution and food additives have made more people aware of heavy metals and chemicals that can accumulate in the body, increasing interest in naturally eliminating toxins and cleansing the body from within.
At RENE Spa, our owner, who is a health coach, works with doctors to research safe and effective detox methods. As a result, we introduced a new program:
💧 Deep Detox with a Far-Infrared Dome Sauna
Expected Benefits
• Detoxification of heavy metals and waste products
• Immune support and improved metabolism
• Relief from sensitivity to cold, swelling, and shoulder stiffness
• Beautiful skin and anti-aging benefits
• Stress relief and deep relaxation
At RENE Spa, we assess your physical condition from a physiotherapy perspective and provide a detox program tailored to each individual.
What Is a Far-Infrared Dome Sauna?
American physiotherapist Vivian Eisenstadt explains it as follows in the health publication Healthline:
“A conventional dry sauna heats the air to a high temperature of 80–110°C, while a far-infrared sauna uses far-infrared rays at around 60°C to heat the body directly rather than the air.”
In other words, even at a lower temperature, the heat can reach deep into the body, allowing you to sweat and detox thoroughly with less difficulty breathing.
This deep-reaching heat also supports the elimination of heavy metals and waste products stored in subcutaneous fat.
Why Celebrities Around the World Love It
Far-infrared dome saunas are popular among Hollywood celebrities. Many stars have installed them in their homes and use them for beauty, slimming, and anti-aging purposes.
At RENE Spa Bangkok, based on our experience with far-infrared heating pads used in heat therapy as part of physiotherapy, we introduced a dome sauna made by the Japanese company Smarty to provide more full-body benefits.
With a leading market share in Japan and trusted quality, it gently warms the body from the core.

♨️ A New “Evolution” of the Sauna! Do You Know the Difference Between a High-Temperature Sauna and a Far-Infrared Sauna?
Many people have probably heard that “saunas have health benefits.”
Improved circulation · Sweating · Increased metabolism · Support for heart health——
These are certainly benefits shared by all types of saunas.
But did you know that there are actually two types of saunas?
They are the “high-temperature sauna (Finnish-style)” and the “far-infrared sauna.”
🔥 What Is a “High-Temperature Sauna”?
A traditional type of sauna that has been popular for many years, with a room temperature of approximately 80–110°C.
It works by heating the air inside the room and using that heat to warm the body.
Because the high temperature makes you sweat quickly, it is popular with people who “want to feel refreshed in a short time” or “like intense heat.” However, it mainly warms the surface of the skin, making it somewhat difficult to thoroughly warm the body internally.
🌿 What Is a “Far-Infrared Sauna”?
In contrast, a far-infrared sauna takes a completely different approach.
The temperature is lower, at around 40–60°C, and instead of heating the air, far-infrared wavelengths directly warm the body.
As a result, there is very little feeling of “uncomfortable heat or difficulty breathing,” and the body is gradually warmed from the core over time.
It takes a little longer to start sweating, but this is evidence that far-infrared heat is reaching the deeper muscles and fat layers rather than just the surface of the skin.
It is an “ideal way to warm the body” that places less strain on people with a slower metabolism who find it difficult to sweat.
💧 That’s Why You Can Warm Up “Longer, More Comfortably, and More Deeply”
Far-infrared saunas:
• Are less likely to feel uncomfortably hot or difficult to breathe
• Allow you to sweat heavily even at lower temperatures
• Are excellent for improving deep circulation, detoxification, and boosting metabolism, making them extremely popular with health- and beauty-conscious people.
At RENE Spa Bangkok, we make the most of these far-infrared characteristics by offering a Japanese-made dome-style “Far-Infrared Dome Sauna,” designed to provide relaxation and detoxification at the same time.
🌸 “Comfortable Heat Therapy” for Beauty and Health from Within
For those who feel that “very hot saunas are not for me,” a far-infrared sauna offers peace of mind.
By gently warming the body from the core, it promotes circulation and helps care for sensitivity to cold, swelling, fatigue, skin problems, and a slower metabolism—common concerns in modern life.
Now is the time to experience a completely different kind of “deep warming detox” from conventional saunas at RENE Spa.
🌈 What Is Far-Infrared? A Mysterious Energy That Warms the Body “from the Core”
Far-infrared rays (Infrared Rays) are a type of electromagnetic wave, just like light and radio waves.
They are invisible to the eye, but they have the property of reaching deep into objects as light energy.
They do not generate heat themselves. Instead, when they are absorbed by an object, they are transformed into heat energy—
That is the greatest characteristic of far-infrared rays.
For example, far-infrared heaters used in winter and fragrant charcoal-grilled dishes are examples of this.
The reason charcoal-grilled fish and yakitori taste especially delicious is that the far-infrared rays emitted by the charcoal warm the water molecules in the food from the inside, making it plump and juicy.
💎 The Power of Far-Infrared Rays — Reaching Deep Beneath the Skin for a “Deep-Warming Effect”
Far-infrared wavelengths are said to reach 40–50 mm (about 5 cm) beneath the skin.
These waves resonate with the body’s cellular tissues and generate heat from within, producing the following effects:
• 🔹 Improved circulation and increased metabolism
Expands capillaries, activates blood circulation throughout the body, and promotes the elimination of waste products.
• 🔹 Promotes cell regeneration
A rise in body temperature activates cellular activity and improves tissue repair.
• 🔹 Regulates the autonomic nervous system and promotes relaxation
Calms overactive nerves and helps restore balance to the body and mind.
• 🔹 Helps relieve fatigue, sensitivity to cold, shoulder stiffness, and lower back pain
Warming the body deeply helps ease muscle tension and reduce stiffness and pain.
💧 Far-Infrared Waves That Also Activate Water
When a special ball that emits far-infrared rays is placed in water, it is said to break apart the bonds of “clusters” (groups of molecules) formed by water molecules.
As these clusters become smaller, the water molecules become more active and transform into “activated water” with energy.
This activated water is said to be more easily absorbed by the body and to further enhance metabolism and detoxification effects.
🌿 RENE Spa’s Far-Infrared Therapy for a Body Balanced “from the Core”
At RENE Spa Bangkok, we make use of the deep-warming effects of far-infrared rays and have introduced a “Far-Infrared Dome Sauna” designed for detoxification, increased metabolism, and fatigue recovery.
By gently warming the body from within rather than just at the surface of the skin, you can experience a sense of being “warmed from the core” that conventional saunas cannot provide.

Effects of Far-Infrared Saunas
Helps Relieve Muscle Pain
Far-infrared saunas help improve blood circulation. They may also help speed up muscle recovery after exercise.
A 2015 study of 10 physically active men reported that spending 30 minutes in a far-infrared sauna after strenuous endurance exercise improved neuromuscular recovery compared with not using a sauna.
Regular use of a far-infrared sauna may also help improve athletic performance.
May Help with Chronic Pain
Therapy using far-infrared saunas is considered a promising treatment for chronic pain. A 2008 study reported that patients with rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis (an inflammatory disease) felt better after eight sauna sessions over four weeks.
Helps Reduce Inflammation and Slow Aging
Far-infrared sauna use has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects on the vascular system. When you enter a far-infrared sauna, heat shock proteins (proteins activated by an increase in temperature) are induced, helping to reduce cellular damage caused by reactive oxygen species and other free radicals.
Heat shock proteins have been shown to extend lifespan and improve the overall aging process.
Improves Blood Circulation and Boosts Metabolism
The human body contains many water molecules, which normally tend to bind together and form larger clusters. However, the resonant action of far-infrared rays prevents the molecules from binding together, keeping them small.
When the molecules remain small, blood and lymph flow improves. As a result, effects such as “improved blood circulation,” “easier elimination of waste products,” and “improved metabolism” can be achieved. In other words, the reason far-infrared rays are said to promote health is that “exposure to far-infrared rays improves blood flow, which leads to better health.”
Detoxification Effects
Sauna therapy, whether using a high-temperature sauna or a far-infrared sauna, may promote the elimination of toxic substances from the body.
A 2012 study reported that the body tends to eliminate heavy metals through sweat rather than through urine or blood. Reducing the burden of harmful substances may help reduce oxidative damage, premature cellular aging, and disorders of organ systems such as the endocrine and circulatory systems.
Lowers Blood Pressure and Promotes Heart Health
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease is the leading cause of death among men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups. Research has shown that far-infrared saunas can improve heart health and lower blood pressure.
Far-infrared saunas are considered particularly effective for people with risk factors for coronary artery disease, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Using a far-infrared sauna helps increase the production of nitric oxide. This causes blood vessels to dilate, improving blood flow and circulation.
Research supports this. A 2017 study published in the Journal of Human Hypertension found that a single 30-minute sauna session reduced arterial stiffness and improved blood pressure.
In a 2004 study, patients with at least one coronary risk factor who used a far-infrared sauna every day for two weeks showed reductions in systolic blood pressure and oxidative stress levels.
Another 2004 study involving patients with congestive heart failure showed that participating in a program of one 15-minute far-infrared sauna session per day for two weeks may improve arrhythmias.
